Anadolu Isuzu, Türkiye’s leading commercial vehicle brand, has taken an important strategic step in line with its vision of international growth and sustainable value creation. The company has signed a share purchase agreement regarding the transfer of shares corresponding to 75.2% of the capital of SamAuto.

Anadolu Isuzu, a long-standing Turkish commercial vehicle brand, signed a share purchase agreement for the acquisition of 75.2% of SamAuto, which has been operating for many years in Uzbekistan in partnership with Japanese Isuzu and Itochu. The company is expected to pay a base purchase price of 80 million USD for the transfer of the shares. With its 42 years of manufacturing, strong R&D capabilities, and broad product range, Anadolu Isuzu aims to expand its operations, strengthen its regional competitiveness, and transform SamAuto into the region’s integrated production hub through this strategic investment.

“We are embarking on a long-term industrial partnership with Uzbekistan.”

Commenting on the acquisition process, Anadolu Isuzu General Manager Tuğrul Arıkan said: “As a Türkiye-based industrial company, with this important step in line with our international growth strategy, we are strengthening not only our production capacity but also our competitiveness in overseas markets. Our new investment in Uzbekistan is one of the most concrete indicators of our confidence in the country’s economic potential and industrial infrastructure. With this investment, we aim to enhance our high value-added manufacturing capabilities in the region and position SamAuto as the leading commercial vehicle production hub in Central Asia. Our goal is to act with a sustainable growth mindset that creates lasting value across all geographies in which we operate and to position ourselves as a permanent player in international markets. As a long-term stakeholder in Uzbekistan, we are committed to growing alongside local communities, generating employment, and contributing to the regional economy. This investment is not only a strategic step for our company but also a reflection of the global strength of Turkish industry.”

Anadolu Isuzu will create impact across a broad geography with its manufacturing power

Exporting its innovative products—developed at its R&D center and manufactured in its own facilities—to more than 45 countries, Anadolu Isuzu continues its international growth journey with determination, expanding its export footprint every year. With this investment, the company is moving toward becoming a strategic integrated production hub serving the vast population of Uzbekistan and surrounding countries. As part of the acquisition, certain models produced at SamAuto’s facilities will be added to Anadolu Isuzu’s product portfolio, and some Anadolu Isuzu models will also be manufactured at the SamAuto plant.

SamAuto’s commercial vehicle manufacturing capabilities will be strengthened by Anadolu Isuzu’s expertise

Operating since 1999 at its production facility in the city of Samarkand, with headquarters in Tashkent, SamAuto offers a broad commercial vehicle lineup including buses, trucks, pick-ups, and special-purpose vehicles. The company has been operating in partnership with Japanese Isuzu and Itochu since 2007 and is one of the leading commercial vehicle manufacturers in Central Asia. SamAuto’s production capabilities and its extensive sales and after-sales service network in the region will combine with Anadolu Isuzu’s advanced engineering strength, more than 40 years of experience, and the values of Anadolu Group to create a powerful synergy.
